Beaded jewelry, especially waist beads originate from African culture (mainly West Africa). Waist beads have been historically worn to symbolize numerous things including femininity, growth/maturity into womanhood, heritage etc. which Aisosa Beads are also trying to promote along with self-love, by encouraging girls to love themselves despite the pressure society is trying to inflict them. And, even though nowadays waist beads are principally worn for aesthetic purposes, Aisosa Beads’ goal remains the same: Encouraging women to find the queen within themselves!

FAQ:

What exactly is a waist bead ?

Waist beads are a piece of body jewellery worn around the waist for a number of different reasons. The reasons vary from weight management, cultural representation to fashion etc so the purpose of wearing waist beads is a very personal decision.

How are they made and where are they from?

The waist beads we sell are glass beads from West Africa used to make many different jewellery and fashion items. As they are made from glass they are very durable, waterproof and long lasting. The waist beads are handmade with care and in strict sanitary conditions to ensure the customer is receiving the best service at every point from production to purchase.
