Asmaa, a baguette that draws

Hey guys, today I present to you my favorite artist/drawer, her name is Asmaa, she’s Algerian and lives in France.

She accepted to give me a short autoportrait of herself in words and through her art.

« I started drawing when I was younger, around the age of 8. It was kind of a hobby at first, then I stopped for a long time until I was 15 and then it became a passion. I already had several drawing accounts before 2017-18 but then I was just drawing my friends. My accounts got more followers and I started getting too many requests. I finally decided to delete the account and recreate another one in July 2019.

I started all over again because I wanted to express myself through my drawings and not draw mechanically. I draw a little bit of everything, subjects that are close to my heart...

or literally anything that comes to my mind.

To be honest, I don't really control what I want to draw. As poetic as it sounds, it comes to me by itself.

I think my drawings are suitable for everyone, I'm not yet at the stage where my drawings have hidden meanings though. »
